Online survey for new Book Club
There is some interest for a book club at MVHS, so I decided to test out how kids would react to scanning a QR code on a promotional flyer announcing the formation of a club. Below is the survey I created to gather their responses.
I will report on the effectiveness and amounts of students using their smartphone to respond Vs. an old fashioned sign up sheet that is posted on our information board.

Library Database Information
Here is a good example of a YouTube video that was created to showcase Worldbook Database to Knob Noster Middle School students.
The same idea can be used for our students and can be available on our own schools website and on the desktop of student use computers. (Credit to Kelly Krause). |

I like this video (left) for Evaluating Websites from Wayne State University. Its cute and appeals to kids while relating the necessary information.
It was created with Xtranorma, which unfortunately is no longer available but a comparable replacement is Digital Films and it is free. I've also heard of Wideo and they have special content for teachers and students. If anyone tries either one, please let us know about your experience! |
